Mel Butler (She/They) is a rising junior at The Latin School of Chicago. They are a devoted theatre, dance, and choir kid who has participated in countless showcases and plays including Chicago: The Musical in their freshman year. In addition to their theatre work, they are a spoken word lyricist and activist who works towards equality for all regardless of gender, race, sexual orientation, or ability. They received the 2023 Sadath Garcia’s Social Justice award from her school this year and plans on making a mark wherever they can. They are so excited to work with the next generation of theatre kids to enhance their love for the arts!
