"I believe in the power of learning through fearless commitment to listening with the whole self. It's a momentous act of courage to remain curious and empathetic in a world hardwired against doing so; and our students face that challenge everyday. When we listen to our students, we help them listen to themselves, and we safely remove "I can't" from their vocabulary. I believe my job as a teaching artist is to create the conditions where students may best learn how they uniquely learn, generate clear boundaries, and encourage them to make as many smart mistakes as possible."

Micah Figueroa is an actor, director, fight & movement director, choreographer and teaching artist. He holds a B.F.A in Theatre Studies (Directing and Playwriting) from Southern Methodist University and attended the British American Drama Academy in London. Micah brings years of experience teaching physical theatre to children and adults of all ages. Micah is a teaching artist with Raven Theater,  The Actor's Gymnasium, Circesteem and Lookingglass Theatre, where he is also a frequent performer.
